1. Relax
2. Remember he is NOT your other child, he's himself - so it could be completely different.
3. Relax
4. Make sure he can pull pants up/down
5. Remind him
6. model the behavior - if he isn't already, he should be in the bathroom when you and/or dad are doing your business.
7. Google may help - find a routine that fits his personality and your schedules.
8. Don't make it a battle. It's his body. If he's not ready, back off and try it again in a month.

When we begin training when the child is ready to learn they get it quickly. Lengthy times are usually caused by a lack of readiness. Google potty training readiness and see if he's ready.

First off, don't "compare" this son with that older son.
Each kid is different and has their own timeline as to when they will do it.
If you keep talking to your younger son about how his older brother did it so quickly, it will sabotage him. Not encourage him.

My daughter was quick.
My son, was not.
At 3 years old he was just getting used to peeing, in a potty.
And poo not at all.
It was fine.
At 4, he still was not good about pooping yet...formally in a potty or toilet.
But then one day, on his own, he did it!
And then it just got better and better.
Hooray!

Up until then, my son would EXCLAIM "IT'S MY BODY!'
He was not "ready" for the pooping stage of it all.
Yet.
And it even scared him a bit to see his poop in the potty.
We went according to his, timeline.
Not ours.
