my little boy was the same way. He went to the potty at day care but i couldn't get him to go in the potty to save my life. Everybody told me he would do it when he was readdy so eventually I gave up and just stopped. Then one day he told me he had to go potty and he has used the potty ever since. Granted he was almost four but....

I don't have any boys of my own right now, but I have heard a pretty fun way of training them just by talking to some of my clients when I was trying to train my oldest girl. One client told me that she put Cheerios in the potty and told her grandson to try to sink them. He had fun doing this for a couple of weeks and he finally told her he did not need the cheerios anymore.

My daughter, I thought was tough, but when the time was right she took herself to the potty and never needed a diaper again. I only hope the second is just as good.

Good luck!

Hi its because he is with other kids that are doing it.. Which is a goodthing. mine did it also.. I just put him big boy pants on while he was at home and talked to him letting him know it is time to give up the diapers.. he is still in pullups at night but he is doing really well with his potty training.. so goodluck and it will happen but only when he is ready..

Hi N.,

You may want to find out what is different at home than at school. Do they have a special seat? Do they give stickers? If he throws a fit, tell him that if he did it on the big boy potty, he wouldn't have to wear diapers. Boys are a little stubborn about potty training, but you'll get through it. Just keep at it.

Good luck!!

Does your father live there also? If so have your son go to the bathroom with him. Sometimes seeing someone else do it is all it takes. It worked for my son. I was a single mom living with my parents so my dad helped since I didn't have the right equipment. I hope everything works out for you. T. P
