So What Happened?

Thanks everyone for the input! I appreciate it. So...my plan is to deliver naturally :) but one never knows how things will progress. I'll certainly give an update afterwards... In any case, I've heard / read that the belts are good regardless of delivery method and am definitely be interested in doing whatever I can to help the healing process along. Stay tuned for more... Thanks again.

Hi J.,
That is so amazing!! I just did research on this yesterday! Although I am WAY past giving birth (my oldest is 29yrs) I just recently purchased the BellaBand from Target!
I had gained weight this last year - all to my middle and wanted something to hold me in and force me to think about this muffin top!
I wanted something that would breath as I was having "hot flashes" (now gone due to topical cream & vit.- another story) and this is lighweight and comes in 3 colors.
I used as a fashion feature as well, wearing under a black top and allowing the white to show at the bottom.
Hope this helps!

J. are you having a c-section? They work miracles for c-sections. However they gave me one at the hospital when I had mine and I wore it for a couple of weeks until my tummy went down enough that it would just fall off of me. After you have a baby you'll still look 5 to 6 months pregnant. Maybe someone else can tell you if its helped for a natural delivery if that is what you are having.

I LOVED my BellaBand from Ingrid & Isabel.
(http://www.ingridandisabel.com/) It was great. Helped me during my pregnancy to keep my tummy up (extra support) and after keep my jeans up.

It was great!

My dr ordered one for me in the hospital after my C-section. It wasn't fashionable, like the others people have mentioned, but it was free (to me... I'm sure it was included in the bill to the insurance company). I wore it most of the day, but not at night when I was trying to get as much sleep as possible. It hurt my back to sleep in it for "long" periods (but I think that could be because I was a little over zealous and put it on as tight as I would tolerate). It really helped me with recovery. It is going to be the first thing I ask for when I have my next baby. Good luck!

Just as the last gal posted her site, I got Brooke Burke's "Baboosh baby" belt. I had a c-section and it worked really well. It took some time to get used to but after a few weeks, I really felt that it helped. I wore it as much as I could the first two months (all day and night)..
Good luck! :)

HI J.,

I loved my Better Binder from: http://www.coreproducts.com/babyhugger/

my physical therapist recommended it, and it really gave me great support. Be sure your Dr. checks your abdominal muscles for stretching/tearing,and if you have this (it's very common) go see a P.T. who specializes in women's issues.

Enjoy your new bundle of love!
C.
