Hi mothers, I would like to know if anyone knows of a cabin that can accomodate 15 people (3 families) at Possum Kingdom Lake at a reasonable price. Also, what are some of the activities that are offered for children from age 2 to 18 yrs old? I would appreciate any helpful ideas since, it will be our first trip out there.

YMCA Camp Grady Spruce is on Possum Kingdom and they have cabins they rent...you would need to call and ask about the time you are wanting it as camps are happening right now. The cabins are nice and comfortable....they could probably help with activities on the lake as well...

I think the state part at PK has cabins. Not sure of the info, but you can do a search on the texas parks and wildlife site. Here is what I found on:

http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/findadest/parks/possum...

Lodging:
All cabins have air-conditioning/heating; a kitchen with a stove, oven and refrigerator; bathroom with a shower; a barbecue grill and table outside. Linens, cooking and eating utensils are not provided.

6 - 4 person cabins - 1 bedroom w/ 2 double beds:
$75 per night
8 person cabin - Also known as the "Longhorn Lodge". This cabin has 2 bedrooms with 2 full beds in each:
$135 per night

Good luck and have fun! PK is great!

You can also look at The Cliffs. It's a hotel literally, on a cliff of the water. I have never stayed there, although I know people that have any my husband has also golfed there. I have seen it though as you drive by it to gas up the boat. :)
