Possibly Pregnant?? - Anderson,IN

Here's a little background: I have two children, and had a miscarriage in July. Pregnancy tests have NEVER worked on me. I've even had doctors tell me I'm not pregnant when I know I am, and then end up confirming it a couple months later...For the last couple months I've been super tired. I've never been this tired unless pregnant. My breasts are sore, and my lower tummy is getting larger. I'm overweight aleady so it's hard for most people to tell and isn't really a bulge yet, but both myself and my husband have noticed it. Plus I can't zip up my jeans and have not gained weight anywhere else. On top of all this we have had two relatives call and ask if I am pregnant. One had a dream twice that we had a baby boy in late August / early September. The other one just had a "feeling" I am pregnant.

What should I do? I'm taking all the normal precautions and prenatal pills. Should I try to get a blood test to find out, or just wait?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

In response to the question about my periods...I have been on BC to control my PMDD. I bled from dec 29th - January 20th roughly. When I called the doc about this they switched my meds and I had a period the week inbetween them. I took the new BC for a week but then hubby and I decided to stop them because my lower belly was growing. That is why I'm wondering if I should just wait and see what happens when I should have another period. However, I did have periods the first couple months with all 3 of my other pregnancies.

I would go get the test done & ask your doc to do an exam... one of my co-workers didn't test positive, but infact was & the doc found out through the exam.

To be honest... I'm due in July & started showing about a month ago. Most people can't tell since my clothes are big on me, but I can tell & so can hubby. My belly is also "hard" and I started feeling the movement the end of last month... hubby felt it last week.

When it comes to little ones - it's always better to play it safe!

Take care!!

You can go to a Minor Med or Medassist in your area to get only a blood pregnancy test instead of going to your own DR.the results are usually same day depending on lab pickup.

How exciting. But "just wait" for what? If you are preggo, you need to start getting prenatal care, so why not go get a blood test? I hope things turn out the way you want!

Call your OB office and let them know all this. If you had a miscarriage they should run blood tests and check for clotting problems as well. Don't wait.

Go in for an exam and a blood test. They should be able to tell through a simple pelvic exam if you're pregnant. I've never heard of a blood test being wrong either. If you think you're pregnant, then it's best to get it checked out, if nothing else just to confirm your suspicions. Prenatal care is very important, so the sooner the better.

You should totally go and get a blood test. If you are certain you are, it's the best course of action, so that you can be getting prenatal care and get a due date. You know your body better than a dr who sees you occasionally. Never let them tell you you are wrong without doing any tests.
