I have wraps (he doesn't eat enough to get full before he just starts playing with it. PB&J is OK, but I hate feeding it to him every day! I don't care if it's traditional lunch, as long as it's nutritionally diverse. Some days when we're out I feel like all I feed him are carbs and fruit! Sometimes we are out for the whole day and sometimes just for several hours. Most stuff I can think of either requires a fridge or a microwave!

What can I do next?

My 3 yr old loves hot dogs, string cheese, oranges, bananas, apples, nutrigrain bars, cereal, mini pancakes, cheese/peanut butter crackers, pretzles dipped in cheese, etc. My child is so anti-meat! If I add a ton of ketchup I can get her to eat chicken nuggets or a hot dog, but nothing else.

Will he eat GoGurt? If you freeze them, they thaw by lunchtime and they keep the rest of his lunch cold. It actually has less sugar than some other yogurts. If he likes peanut butter, you could send a small container with peanut butter and pretzels, apple slices or crackers to dip into the peanut butter.

I frequently make "homemade lunchables." Just crackers, lunchmeat cut into squares, and cheese. They love it, they get some protein (albeit high sodium), dairy, and whole grain, and they get to play with their food. :)

yogurt and granola. Ants on a log. bean and cheese burritos - homemade, my kids will eat cold. You will need to get a lunchbox.
