I was curious if anyone has traveled to Port Aransas, TX lately and can share their experience. There are like a million condos to choose from and I have no idea where to start. Any places to stay or to avoid? We are going to stay with another couple in a two bedroom and share the cost. I would like to stay on the beach for the walking distance thing. I am taking my 9 month old, so anything you can tell me about traveling with a baby, taking her to the beach and what not!!! Thanks!!

What can I do next?

I go to Port Aransas at least once a year, usually twice. For the last 7 or 8 years we have always stayed at Port Royal or Grand Carribean. They are both on the beach. Port Royal is my all time favorite place to stay down there. I have literally probably stayed at almost every single place there, La Mirage, Sandcastle, Mayan Princess, Sea Island, Executive Keys, Mustang Towers, Gulf Shore, and others. If you have questions about any of the places I named you can email me at ____@____.com.

Watch out for purple-pink-gray blobs laying on the beach: Dead or dying Portuguese Man-o-War jellyfish. If you even sit on the sand where one had been, you may feel a burn. Take ADOLF'S MEAT TENDERIZER and make a paste with water to rub into the burn. Stops the stinging immediately.

I carry ADOLF'S everywhere and used it on my 4 kids for bee & wasp stings. It even STOPPED the venom of a brown recluse spider from doing any damage to husband's shoulder.

We are going to Port Aransas later today, for the third or fourth summer in a row. We've stayed at a place called Beachgate, which is literally right over a dune from the beach. The price compares to most other condos in the area and you can get different sizes of rooms, to match whatever you need. Here's a link, if you'd like to check it out: www.beachgate.com. Have a great time, wherever you end up staying!!
