Hello ladies! Our pool is looking worn and is in need of resurfacing (or having the plaster redone). Please let me know if you have any suggestions on a good, reliable, reasonably priced company or individual. Thanks, as always, for your suggestions and words if wisdom - I appreciate it!

Stay away from Expert Pools. They re-did our pool a little over 2 years ago and we are going to have to have someone else come out and re-do all the grout at the top of the tiles - most of it is already coming out! They were priced very competitively - but in this case - we got what we paid for....

We resurfaced our pool last year and used the original builder, Tahitian Pools. The quality of the work was good, but it was a slow process and I had to stay on top of them. The guy managing the remodel always had 'family problems'. We got new tile and lighting, but no coping or anything else. The cost was $10,500. Good luck!

We used The Crack Doctor, and loved them. We only had the pool replastered, no new tile or coping. (Well, they put little tiles on the steps, but no big tiles around the edge.) I want to say it cost around $4000, and that was with 90% colored quartz in the plaster to give it a blue-ish tint. They did great work in just a few days. I highly recommend them.

Call Gold Medal Pools in Frisco. They're not going to be the cheapest but they are without a doubt the best. They built our pool last year and were wonderful. The horror stories you hear from people about pool companies had us very worried and we did a lot of very indepth research before going ahead with them. Call Brian Caughey. best wishes and good luck. ____@____.com
