I would read the instruction label on the bottle or call the pool supply place and ask... then make a decision!
so yesterday, early afternoon, my dad put algaecide in our pool.. it had a pretty good amount of algae in the bottom of the deep end so it definitely needed it, but anyway my question is, would you be hesitant to let your 10 month old swim today?? .. I called my dad at work and asked him if it was ok to swim in and he said yeah sure, you know how many times you've gone swimming in that pool with that stuff in there? .. yes.. I know.. but im not a 10 month old baby.. he said "well I put it in yesterday im sure its fine" .. my gut reaction was that its been almost 24 hours since he put it in there so its fine, but to be on the safe side I thought I would ask on here.. so if you were in my situation would you let your baby swim today?

What does the container say? It should give a timeframe before it's safe to swim again.
Usually it's ok to swim within the hour so with it being this long you should be fine (and so should your 10 month old). If you are not comfortable, call the pool company and ask how long you need to wait.
Mommy:
What does the container say? Most of them are good to go after 1 to 2 hours of "application". Did your dad use the "SHOCK" for the pool? If so - then that is usually 6 to 8 hours.
If she was swimming or playing in the pool BEFORE the algaecide was done - she's better off NOW than she was before!!
I hope he changed the filter as well...the algae was most likely in the filter as well.
If it were me? Yes. I would play in the pool with my baby.
Good luck!
You can always call the pool store. They will give you good advice.
But I think if the water is clear and the pump is running, it should be fine.
When we put any sort of strong chemicals I'n the pool we wait for 24 hrs or close to. I'm sure she will be fine
Assuming the filter/pump has been running and the pool isn't green anymore and water is clear... sure!
Can you look it up online? Unless your dad is a pool guy and knows chemicals, I wouldn't go by what he says.
If you can't find it online, you can try calling a pool supply store. The folks there know their business.
