Q: What is the correct way to properly set up pool?

A: By following the exact directions in the manual that is for your specific model. If you've done that and it isn't working, then call the customer service number.

Mine is not as big as yours but there should be loops that are part of the liner that the legs go through. There should also be a rope that goes around the bottom of the legs and through small loops at the bottom of the liner.

The legs should appear to be bowed out a little. They actually aren't it is just the curve of the liner.

Basically in the end the legs should be up against the bottom of the liner but not the top. The legs are there only to support the top ring, not the pool sides.

Oh, also make sure the area is perfectly flat! Ours is a sixteen ft and even with a one inch difference it was putting too much pressure on the legs at the "deep end".

Sounds like a customer service department phone call. Or a google search for youtube solutions.
