My parents go up with my sister and her 4 kids and the kids wear jammies but not my parents or my sis and her hubby. hope this helps :)
We are traveling to Flagstaff on Thursday for the Polar Express and are confused on attire. For those of you who have done it did you wear Pajamas? I have heard that the kids wear pajamas but do the parents wear pajamas too? Just trying to figure out how we should all dress and stay warm!
Thanks!

Depends on your after plans. We usually just put the kids in PJ's, but many adults come in PJ's also. Make sure all who do wear PJ's wear polar fleece or something super warm. Have fun!
I don't know about that particular Polar Express, but I work at a hotel in NH and we have Polar Express packages for a train that departs from the same property that our hotel sits on. ALL of the kids are in PJ's. I'd say about 90% of the parents/grandparents were in PJ's, too. It's such a fun experience for everyone! I hope you all have a great time! Merry Christmas!
The adults in our group definitely wore PJ's. It only adds to your children's excitement to see Mom and Dad dressed for the occaission. I personally thought the parents w/o PJ's were fuddy duddy's and not in Christmas spirit. And since you are there for you kids, I say go for it. You children's will always remember how you made them feel.
We go every year. My kids wear PJ's. My husband and I wear sweats and I wear a robe, he a jacket. It's really up to you. It is cold outside but they keep the train ride toasty! I usually get warm on the train ride itself. So just comfy layers would be good. Have a great time!
We did the Polar Express train last year in CO and it was so much fun. I think whatever you want to do is fine. I saw about 1/4 of adults wearing PJs. The adults in our group did not. The kids did. Everyone had their coats and hats and gloves bc we had to stand outside on the train platform for a bit in the beginning and it was COLD out! It's a great time - very magical!
We've gone several times and the kids always wore pj's but my husband and I didn't. Some parents do and some parents don't. It will be cold though...so dress warm. I noticed one person said it was warm on the train but I remember having my coat on most the time. Have fun!
Oh what fun you're going to have! The Polar Express is so cute and a great time for the entire family! It's totally appropriate for adults to wear pj's. We've only gone once and wore clothes, but if I went again I would absolutely wear pj's. Whatever you decide to wear, make sure it's warm!!! It's freezing up there! Have a great time!
We went to the same Polar Express in Williams, AZ a couple weeks ago. Our sons wore PJs, coats, and super fun matching hats and gloves. I wore my slipper booties with my jeans and my husband wore jeans too. I think only maybe 25-30% of the adults wore PJs.
Be ready to sing Christmas songs and have a fabulous time.
We did it 2 yrs ago and are going again this year and we all wore pj's, including adults. We just had a winter coat over them for at the platform outside, and then took it off on the train...it gets pretty warm on that train by the way. You will have a ball! I can't wait to go again. Merry Christmas and Enjoy!
It's really a matter of personal preference. We went with another family and all the kids wore PJ's but the adults did not. Alot of adults on the train did though. There were even quite a few families who had matching PJ's.
Whatever you're comfotable with. My husband did not want to spend money on something he was never going to wear again (and Santa still picked him as the adult child for our car:).
I wore leggings, uggs and a Chrismassy robe, with a santa hat. Wear whatever you like. PJ's are fine and so are jeans:)
