Yick. My daughter is invited to a Pokemon party for a boy in her class turning 7. Pokemon stuff is at the top of his list for gifts. What do I know about Pokemon gifts? I see that a little teeny pack of trading cards is four bucks. Hey, kid, here's four teeny packs of cards. Happy birthday? Really? It doesn't SEEM like a good gift. What say you? A good Pokemon gift.

What can I do next?

My son was into Pokemon. He was happy with anything related to Pokemon. It sounds like you aren't being very open. There are stuffed animals, little figures, techincal toys, etc. To make it easy, he would be very excited about receiving a few packages of cards.

oh wow my son is a poke-maniac. They do have larger packs of trading cards that come with like 160 cards in a set so 2 people can play, I got this at Target. We got him a "how to draw" pokemon book, as well as a book that lists like 50-100 different pokemon. (Both from the book faire at school but I'm sure you might be able to find them at Amazon). We also had got him some Pokemon pj's at Kohls. Does he have a Nintendo DS? There are many Pokemon games for that as well.

Good Luck!

My boys love Pokemon and receiving a couple of those trading packs would be welcome as a present, trust me!

Try Kaybee toy stores. They have lots of Pokemon figures. In fact they have an entire marble set w/all the figures etched in them. (My son has them) It's a cool gift.

Personally, when I don't know what a child has or what to get I just give them a gift card. One of my son's friends gave him a gift card to a used game shop. Robert was "tickled pink" to receive it and use it.

Take care
J.

Just did this for gd's birthday. Target has a good selection. Big thing now is "Backuman"(sp?) as well as Pokemon. Prices were 6.99, 11.99 and 12.99.
