Plus Size Maternity Pants?

I searched for this, but everything was from years ago, and alot of the stores have changed what they carry.

I asked a question last week (I think) about plus size nursing bras and tops. In it I stated that I had no trouble finding my maternity clothes, WRONG!

Apparetnly Old Navy no longer has a Plus Size Maternity section, and I can't stand the pants from Motherhood, the band goes up to your ribs. I can wear a regualr XL in tops, so that isn't an issue but I need a 1X in pants and can't find any other than at Motherhood.

I am really hoping that they aren't my only option. I'm actually more than a little upset that it is so darn hard to find Plus Size Maternity, hello people it's almost 2012- not everyone is a size 6.

Anyone have any suggestions?

The Avenue just started selling maternity online. I wish they would have done it three years ago when I was pregnant. You are right. It is real tough for plus size women to find decent maternity clothes.

old navy online has a few pants on clearance right now. I got all my stuff at jcp.com. I HATE motherhood maternity. Worst store ever!

I had twins so I got really big really fast. I found that the cost of maternity clothes was more than I was willing to pay for clothing I most likely wouldn't be using again so, WalMart was my favorite place to shop. I bought regular,non-maternity, clothes there, in the plus sizes. I hope that helps. :)

JcPenney carries plus-sized maternity pants - most of their clothes are really reasonably priced, too.

I went to Motherhood Maternity in the mall (and in some Babies R Us stores). In the front is where the petite and average sizes are, and the plus sizes are in the back half.

It all depends on what size you were prepregnancy. I was a size 18 before I got pregnant and oldnavys maternity ( its only available online) did not fit me at all. I ended up buying pants from motherhood maternity on line, and tops at target. I looked at lane bryant but there were way toooo expensive

Try JCPenney, otherwise you may have to shop online. But I'm noticing more and more that it's harder to find pants without the band up to your ribs, since I hate the band as well.

I loved the motherhood ones, I would just fold the band down and it gave me extra support, which felt comfortable for me. I would also get a size smaller then I normally wear.
You can also try torrids website. I never bought their maternity pants though, might be worth a shot.

I liked the stuff from JCP, but I always had extra trouble since I needed plus size and long! I am taller and bigger than average and apparently clothing manufacturers so not know that women like me exist! They seem to think all bigger women are also short, grrr... At least maternity capris work :) I also got some pants that were not officially maternity but loose from Jessica London (love their clothes!) that I wore a lot. I never liked the Motherhood maternity clothes, they fit funny on me, their sizes are a bit wonky I think. Good luck!

I know that others are suggesting JCPenney. At the one I used to shop in California and the one I shop now in Georgia, the maternity in store was VERY limited. I thought I would warn you so you won't get disappointed. I have a feeling that you will have the best luck shopping online, but I searched the web and only found the under-belly pants at jcpenney. Everywhere else had over-belly pants in plus size, and the majority only sold plus online. I don't know what the big deal is with the over-belly pants . . . the low ones pushed on my bladder more than the baby did and I constantly had to pee! Seriously, I think that the over belly pants are considered more supportive and since plus size women carry extra weight, I think that is why they are more common. Good luck on your shopping and if you can't find what you are looking for you might want to look into dresses. That way you won't have to wear a waistband that makes you feel uncomfortable.
