Hi moms! My son will be 3 in October. We wanted to have his party at a bounce house place because he (and most of his friends) are very active!! However, I can't justify spending $400 on a 3 year old's birthday party. I called the only 2 places I knew of and both ended up being way over $400 because you can't bring in any food or drinks! SO! Now we are back to square one with less than a month to plan! Where can I have a FUN birthday party for a reasonable price? PLEASE help! :)

What can I do next?

Someone recommended Pump It Up and while its a GREAT place, it's very expensive. The room rental fee alone is $320 - and then they tax that and expect you to tip. I had my daughter's 3rd bday there and when it was all said and done, the entire party cost $700. The Frisco location (at the time) made you order pizza from Papa John's and that was a huge cost - and they tax the entire bill. Just excessive. But they do allow up to 25 kids for that price and the place is awesome. But if you are looking to not spend a fortune, this is not the place to go.

I know that the Pumpkin Patch on 121 (by Custer) normally has 2 bounce houses and fun stuff for the kids. Two years ago we took my daughter and some people were having a bday party there and they used their stuff - brought their own food/cake. I think they charge $10 per kid to get in and do all the fun stuff - that is it. Last year the owners (I think) posted on this site to let everyone know that they were going to be there again last year. You might inquire. Now, you do have to share the area/bounce house with other people - but a fun idea.

If you can not do the bounce house, you could also try the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm in Prosper/Celina (they have a website). Cute/fun place as well!

But those are only fall themed ideas.

Good luck!

Hi there!
If you still need an idea...my mother-in-law purchased a bounce house from Sams Warehouse for us to use at my daughter's second birthday party. It was pretty reasonable...I want to say around $100-$150. It was very easy to setup. It inflates and deflates in about a minute. And the best part is we get to keep it for our daughter to use whenever she wants. Good luck!

Animal House Parties in McKinney (www.animalhouseparties.com)is reasonably priced, and the price INCLUDES include ice cream, drinks, invitations, which are extra at most other places. You just bring the cake.

Animal House also has a separate toddler play area, so if there are younger ones at the party, they won't get trampled by the bigger kids.

I haven't been to a party there, but have taken my kids to bounce there a few times and they like it.

If your child likes to pretend - you might want to check out Cute As A Button's Button Lane. It is located in Plano, at 112 & Coit. It has a pretend city, some riding toys and an art area. They take care of all set up/ clean up, and there is a parents' sitting area within the play area.

Another option could be an outside party at a park with a playground and covered eating area.

Good Luck!

Hi N.,

I have heard that the Fire stations in Frisco let you have the birthday party there. I am planning to celebrate my son's next birthday over there. You might have to contact then for details.
Also I did my daughter's birthday party at home in September, we had an animal show done by "Grisham farms Mckinney", it was neat, I had kids from ages 3 to 9 and all of them enjoyed well. You need more info on that please email me at ____@____.com
Happy Birthday wishes to your son.

Did you try the Animal House in McKinney? A friend of mine did her son's 3 year old party there and I know she wouldn't spend that kind of money on a party. The kids had a lot of fun and she brought in cake and ice cream (I think) and they provided the plates and clean-up. Good luck!

There is a huge bounce place called "Pump It Up" it is a little further South then you might want to go but it is huge and relatively inexpensive. It is located on the cormer of Forest and Greenville so it is very easy to get to from the North. You just take 75 to Forest and go back East, it is right there. Good Luck!!
