What I know works is to apply ice until the gum gets frozen and hard. Then chip it off. Good luck!
My husband found some chewed spearmint gum that "not me" put in between our microfiber couch's cushions...anyone have a good remedy to get it out? I told him not to freak out because I know you moms have great ideas and I will be able to get it out.
We were able to ice the gum, and although it was very thin in spots, it did come out after a few tries. Thanks to all who wrote...we appreciate it.

Ice cubes applied to the gum is one of the most suggested remedies for gum on furniture.
I'm not sure how well this will work on the microfiber, but I know it works on rugs - put some ice cubes in a ziplock bag and hold it over the gum until it freezes. That way it'l become hard, and peel right off instead of staying sticky and hanging onto the fibers. Make sure you hold that ice on it for a while, though. Let us know how it turns out, or if you had to do something different because the material is so fine. Good luck!
I also have microfiber furniture and had this problem about two weeks ago when my sister fell asleep on my couch with gum in her mouth, ugh! So anyways ice it then pull the gum off. The water will leave water marks on the couch so mix about half carpet cleaner with warm water and rub it in to remove the marks. Good Luck! I have also heard baby wipes are wonderful at cleaning microfiber but havent tried it yet!
Try lestoil directly on the spot. Take a spoon just slightly swirl the lestoil on top of the gum, you'll see the gum dissolve .
I know the one thing that gets out gum is peanut butter. But then the peanut butter may stain your couch.
Not sure how it would work for cushions (they are a bit large), but getting gum out of anything is easiest if you can freeze it - then it chips/breaks off rather than sticking/pulling. If you can somehow get them into a freezer or maybe try ice packs? Good luck!!
Take an ice cube and freeze the gum, I mean really freeze it. Then peel it off the fabric. Good luck! L. D.
Maybe try that air in a can stuff - if you hold it close to the gum and spray it, it will freeze it and then you can chip it off.
I've heard that you can rub an ice cube on it to harden it and then chip away at the gum.
Did you try GOOGLE-ing for other options?
I've heard to rub an ice cube over the gum to freeze it and then pick it off/out.
Hi C., Have you tried an ice cube on the gum? After the gum gets firm and cold you can usually peel it off. I hope this works for you as it has for me. By the way we all seem to have a "not me" Grandma Mary
Tried ice no. Scraping just brought up tiny fibers. Sprayed WD40 let sit for a minute and it came right off. No stain or oil left. Wiped with a warm cloth afterwards.
