M.M.
How old are you and are you high risk for heart disease, liver or gall bladder issues?
Could also be nerve pain/damage... Maybe see if you can get a Dr's appt for Friday too, so you don't miss more work.
My right sholder is feeling weird. This weirdness covers my entire sholder blade on the right side, the top of my right sholder, down a little bit towards my breast and then all the way down to my thumb. The sensation I feel is like when your legs are antsy and you have to keep moving them. My husband rubbed my sholder, but this caused intense pain that shot down into my arm. The pain usually isn't there just the annoying sensation. However, it is causing me to lose sleep at night and I really can't afford to be any more tired.
I am going to the chiropractor on Friday, but does any one have any ideas that I can in between now and then? Before going to bed I use Icy Hot and take 2 Alieve, but that didn't even help last night.
Thanks any ideas I appreciate them.
My chiropractor is 45 min away and I'm off on Friday. :( I can't take any more time off of work so I have to wait.

What has your primary care physician said? Have x-rays or an MRI been taken?
Is there any way the chiropracter could see you sooner?
I Google d 'tingly pain down right arm' and found this:
"Possibilities for 'paresthesias' (numbness, tingling, burning) and shooting pain in right arm could include a pinched or compressed nerve or brachial plexus injury. Diagnosis would be with EMG's, NVC, nerve conduction velosity, CT & MRI. Assessment & treatment is necessary if pain continues because untreated brachial plexus can affect the muscle if not treated. Also there is the possibility of peripheral vascular disease. You could try moist heat compress to see if you get relief or raising the arm (if better on raising may be nerve compression). ASA (aspirin) would be best for pain relief just in case you are dealing with cardiovascular type problem. A blood pressure reading would be a good idea too. If it continues you need to have it checked by the doctor."
It could be you're feeling the pain in the arm / shoulder muscles, but the problem is elsewhere (pinched nerve in your neck) - apply the hot/cold packs there.
I'd see a doctor soon as possible.
Try ice instead of the heat and try to see the chiro sooner.
I've always heard that was a sign of a heart attack-I mean not to scare you but that is something I wouldn't want to "hold off" on. Better safe than sorry.......
I wonder if you have a pinched nerve......?????
if you don't suffer from shortness of breath, then I don't think it's a heart attack but every person is different...
I'm sorry your chiropractor is so far away and you can't take time off work!! I know the relief a chiropractor can bring!! :)
I hope it's only a pinched nerve!!!
Try rolling a towel really tight into a tube - put it between your shoulder blades, and lying on it, it might juke the bone of the nerve.
i have a pain in my left arm that feels like someone is raking their fingernails down my arm from my shoulder to my elbow. only happens when i scratch or rub on my collar bone. i talked to my SIL about it (she's a PT) and she said that it could be a pinched nerve.
I feel for ya girl cause my whole body feels like this sometimes... I am not sure what it is either.
