Hello all. My family and I just moved to Tucson, AZ from Minnesota. My son was used to going to daycare almost daily, and had many friends to play with. Now in AZ I work from home, so no daycare, and we are having a hard time finding a friend in the neighborhood. We did find one little 4 yr old playing outside the other day, and went over to introduce ourselves, but the boys ran inside and his Dad told us he is VERY shy and takes a while to warm up to new people. My son took it personally thinking the boy just didn't like him, and has been heart broken trying to find a friend. Our financial situation has changed a lot, and we are only a couple months into the budget we planned, so I don't know if we could afford parttime daycare to send him to once or twice a week. We are trying classes at the YMCA, but unfortunately both classes he is in only have 2-3 other kids, and are all younger, or girls- who of course have coodies. Basically in all this rambling I am seeking another family with a (preferrably) little boy around 4 that would like to make a new friend, or maybe a reccomendation of a good preschool or daycare in the area- right now price is a factor, but may not be once we are more settled. Hey ladies!! My name is H. and I just relocated to Tucson, Arizona from Queen Creek (orignally from Phx) and have 4 children. I have a 4th grader (Cienna),a kindergartener (Robert), Monica (4) and Sophia (3 1/2). If the ages look a little strange it is because my husband and I were blessed through adoption!! Our youngest are 5 months apart.
