I have an almost 3 year old very active boy and a 5 month old daughter. Does anyone know of any play groups or indoor actives we can do for free or a reasonable price? I know about the play places at tuttle and polaris mall which I really like, but was wondering what you guys do with your little ones when it to cold to be outside???

What can I do next?

We do the library and "story time" on Tuesdays which is free and kids do a craft with it. Also not sure of your finances, but we get a COSI membership every year. On the 3rd floor this is a great play area perfect for your kids ages. Plus in the summer it is air conditioned so on those HOT days it works well for us too. Other than that, we do Tuttle Mall and then we have our kids signed up for gymnastics as well.

Good luck and Have fun! I look forward to reading the other posts for some good ideas as well.

I believe that Homestead Park in Hilliard has some a "crafty Tuesday" or "crafty Wednesday" where there is a short craft project for preschoolers (3 & up) for $1 or $2; I think it's monthly.

The Firefly Play Cafe is indoors; I haven't been there yet, but I think it's $5 to play all day for kids over 2.

Galaxy Golf & Games and Magic Mountain, I believe, both have indoor play areas for little kids for $3 or so.

You can always take them to the McDonald's play place (we just drove past one on Friday, on our way to the zoo, so it was probably up near Sawmill N of 270, I think). Chic Fil A has indoor play places, too.

I've taken my younger two kids (4 yrs & 1 yr tomorrow) to the Westerville Community Center on Friday mornings. They have a "Toddler Time" from 9:30-11:30. It's $3 per kid. It's a lot of fun for the kids.

The Recreations Outlet in Powell has free play on Tues, Weds and Thurs mornings. It's AWESOME! They're the ones that sell the gigantic swingsets and over the top play systems, and on those mornings you can take them to play on the swingsets and gyms and bounce on the trampolines and run until their heart's content :)

Here's the website:

If you stay later than 11, they make you pay (I think it's $7/kid), so be sure to get there right at 9 so the kids have plenty of time to play before you pack them up at 11.
