I have ventured into the city more and more from NJ and would like recommendations on play grounds in the city. We went to the Bleeker Play Ground and that was very nice. I am looking specifically for play grounds in Midtown West and lower Manhattan.

So What Happened?

Thank you for your advice. I will check out Battery Park soon on another day trip. I use to live in NYC but not with a toddler so when I go to the city
I think I am still a single or just married lady before I moved to NJ for the house and to make babies. I have one and hopefully another one in the
near future. The nyc parks and rec web site is wonderful listing all the playgrounds and restaurants nearby so my boy and I can eat while I read him our
horoscope as we are cancers and then play.

You are so funny.... I feel the same way. I just moved to hell's kitchen and have 2 great parks by me... one on 48th and 10th and the other on 52nd and 11th.... also around is a library and community garden. I am very out of my element in this whole 'motherhood world'.... I like these parks because they are very laid back and no pressure.
Take Care,
V.

My children LOVE Battery Park City. There is a great playground there. They also just love to walk along the river. The landscaping is beautiful-park benches, rocks to climb, river views. Everything is very child friendly. The last time we went we took the ferry from Hoboken. Of course the ferry added even more excitement! This has become one of our favorite day trips from NJ. We go to the playground, walk down towards Battery Park along the Hudson. Play in the gardens...have lunch....take the ferry back to our train.

Hey L. R,
There are wonderful playgrounds all over the city. The one that I like in midtown is at 59th street. There is a great spinkler and a large playgym that I think you'll like. Maybe one day you could walk uptown in central park and you'll bump into one that you like. Riverside park also has nice parks. The one that I like there is on 87th street and Riverside. I hope this has been helpful.
Enjoy!
