Was wondering, it says the side effects are rare? Did anyone that used it, have any side effects? Thanks

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the replies, I did take it and all it did was make me tired. My first and hopefully only time to use this. I'm thankful to have had this option available.

I've used it a couple of times. The only side effect of note that I recall is that my period was late after taking it. My cycles are very irregular anyway, but if I recall correctly I was later than my normal late with it.

I've had a long career in reproductive health care and can tell you that the side effects with Plan B really are minimal. Most women don't feel a thing. Sometimes, your period is a little different, or comes at a little different time. You might also possibly notice some changes in your cervical mucus, but not a lot. It is a very safe medication that does nothing to a pre-existing pregnancy, but can stop you from becoming pregnant. Take it as soon as possible after intercourse, less than 24 hours is ideal, but up to 72 hours. Also, if you're worried you'll forget the second pill, studies show it works just as well to take them both together. Good luck, and consult your health care provider if you have more questions or concerns.

I've used it once. We had an accident about 4-5 years ago and I have health issues that lend an air of major panic to the thought of an unplanned pregnancy.

My symptoms were nothing more than pms. I will note that my period was not on schedule, I think it was about 2 days late. But tests were coming in negative so I wasn't too worried.

Our accident was on the day before I ovulated. I really SHOULD have been pregnant had I not taken it so I can attest to the fact that it does work.

Actually, I just used it a few months ago, and I must say that there were really minimal side affects, I was a little nauseous but that's about it, oh and my period was a little abnormal. But there was nothing that would keep me from recommending it to a friend in case of an accident.

Ummm...

Perhaps I am having a 'senior' moment...but what IS 'plan B'?

Thoughts/visions of emergency management keep racing thru my mind...serious...
