I go to a more contemporary church on William Blount Drive, Cedar Point. It's non-denominational and very upbeat. It has a wonderful childrens program and everyone is super nice.

Service starts at 10:30A and if you want you can visit the website... http://cedarpointmaryville.org/

I have just recently began going back to church and this if the firt church where I didnt feel completely out of place. This coming Sunday would be great time for you to visit we are having a church picnic after service. Everyone has been asked to bring a side dish or dessert and I think it will be a great way to get to know the others at the church.

Good luck! I know how hard this can be...

Hi S.,
I am not Catholic, but the church I go to welcomes people of all denominations. It is Fellowship Church on Middlebrook Pike. It is a big church so if that intimidates you, then it might not be a good fit. My family loves it. They have a great children's ministry and I think the sermons are really good - speaking the truth about what the Bible says and not sugar coating it. There is also a nursery wing and school age wing where your kids can be taken care of while you attend the service. (They also have middle school and high school programs for older kids.) Send me a message if you have any questions and I'd be happy to answer them to the best of my ability! Or if you want to attend a service sometime, I could meet you and help you with where to go, etc. Hope you find a place where you are comfortable!

Hey S., I am also a single mom of two girls ages 3 and 7 months. We go to Whitestone Church, it's in Brickey Elementary School. We absolutely love it! My 3 year old begs to go! They have a wonderful childrens program and everyone is so nice! I would love to show you around if you want to meet there Sunday. Service's are at 9 and 11. We always go to the 11 o'clock service and I'm always looking to meet other single moms for play dates. Good luck!

Hi S.! I am Catholic and attend All Saints. I like the atmosphere there as opposed to some of the other Catholic churches in the area. It is extremely family-oriented and I find that the people there are really great. My suggestion is that you try a few different places and see how it feels...where you are comfortable...not just Catholic if you want something new. I hope you find where you want to be!
