Welcome to mamapedia!!
If you are pregnant? I wouldn't take any supplement or drug without first consulting my OB/GYN.
No. NEVER took the pills. NEVER had my placenta dehydrated and made into a pill. You have that kind of money?
hello Mommas!! Has anyone done the placenta pills? Any advice?

I know some women do, but I've always found the concept of eating the placenta to be something that disgusts me.
It's a human tissue/organ (technically your child s organ - a discarded life support system) - makes me think of cannibalism.
We have pretty good diet/nutrition/vitamins so you don't need the protein.
We don't give birth out in the wild and need to get rid of the placenta so as to avoid attracting predators.
When pregnancy ends certain hormones are suppose to stop - and the rapid switch makes for postpartum depression in some women - so eating it for hormones to avoid PPD - well eating anything doesn't make your body believe it's pregnant again, plus I'm not sure what hormones (or bacteria or viruses) survive the dehydration/cooking or digestion process.
I suppose there's always the possibility of a placebo effect - if you believe eating it will do you some good then maybe it will if you believe it hard enough.
No thanks for me - I'll believe eating some liver and onions will do me some good - so I'll stick with that.
