Place Where Small Kids Can Drive Cars

My kid is about to turn 5 and LOVES cars. When I say LOVES, I'm not kidding. Cars and Transformers are her favorite movies. A Mustang convertible will literally stop her in her tracks. For her birthday, I'd like to be able to take her somewhere she can drive on a track like she's racing. Does anyone know a place where they let small children (35 pounds, 38 inches) drive cars alone? Most places I've seen require an adult to be in the car. If not, do you know an exciting place where she could drive her 4-wheeler?

What can I do next?

Adventure Island is at Frankford and Coit Rd. They have two go cart tracks - one for adults/big kids and one for little kids ages 4 and up. The little kid track has single seat cars that the kids drive alone (I doubt an adult could even fit in it!) We had my son's fifth birthday there last February and they had a BLAST! Adventure Island also has miniature golf and video games/laser tag.

Adventure Landing as was mentioned and Planet Pizza has bumper cars for that age, which she might also enjoy since she's in charge of the steering.

You could try Safety Town in Frisco. It is on Main Street, you can't miss it. It is @ the Firestation. I don't know what the age group or other limits they have but you can always check it out on line.

Adventure Landing in Far North Dallas on Coit near 190 has e regular go kart track and a junior go kart track - they can start driving the smaller, slower junior track at age 4. Not sure of size requirements.

My son loves cars too! He just turned five--maybe they should meet. :) He LOVES the go-karts at Adventure Landing. I believe the size requirement is on their website. I can't remember if it was 36" or 42" minimum. He also enjoys the bumper cars at Planet Pizza at Parker and Independence. He also has riding cars that are battery operated that "Santa" got him for Christmas a couple of different years and they have been worth every penny--he loves playing outside in those. I ride my bike with him so I can keep up. He stays on the sidewalk and I ride in the street beside him.
