I've been to one 2x now in Naperville right off Rt 59 and 111th St, called Simply Homemade www.simply-homemade.com and it's nice! They always have great meals on the menu each month. Very convenient!
I'm looking for a recommendation in the Naperville/Wheaton area for one of thoses places where you assemble 12 meals in 2 hours. I'm really just interested if you or someone you know has been there. I am sold on the consept and just need to decide which on to go to. Thanks!

There's another one on Butterfield and Leask that is next to the Oberweis Store and Pearle Vision. Unfortunately, the name escapes me at the moment.
I've never used either one, but would love to try it out.
Dinners Together on 75th Street near Naperville-Plainfield Road is a place that I have visited 14 times - about once a month. I started mostly with 8 meals per visit and got my family to review the meal choices to pick things that we like. Dinners Together allows you to bring your whole family to work with you on the 2nd Friday of the month. You need to visit their web site and presubscribe for a session of assembling meals or arrange for them to assemble the meals and just pick them up with the directions for reheating your food. (Have a cooler to carry them home in.)
In Wheaton on Butterfield Road, Victoria's Kitchen is next to Oberweis. I have not tried this place because I live just south of Dinners Together.
I've also had success in cooking a pan of "Chicken Alfredo" from Costco deli section.
Hi C.,
I've been to Entree Kitchen (entreekitchen.com) several times and found it to be good. It's in Carol Stream, just bordering Wheaton. It's very clean, the atmosphere is nice. Many women make this a social occasion and prepare meals with their friends, and that makes it a fun "chore"--you have a good chat, and you leave loaded. Just be sure to prepare lots of freezer space! Enjoy simplifying...
I love Dinner by Design on Butterfield (Julie S. posted info below). Their meals always taste fresh and yummy. You can make it yourself, or place a pick-up order. I prefer to make it myself so I can control how much of each ingredient goes into each dish. They also have some pre-made meals in a freezer you can purchase at anytime.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. Have fun!
I've been to Dinners Together in Naperville a few times (http://www.dinnerstogether.com/). In my opinion, their food is good but my husband tends to be a bit more critical (I've spoiled him with too many "gourmet" meals, I guess!). I really like the convenience of having several meals in the freezer that are ready to go, especially in the summer. If you get on their email list, you'll get monthly emails from them with their menu and usually they include an offer for free assembly of your package if you don't want to spend the 2 hours doing it yourself. You can also have most of the meals split in half if you don't need a full portion (their full sizes feed 4-6). I've also heard of Dinner by Design, but haven't had their food before. A friend of mine has had both and said she slightly prefers Dinner by Design's food. Hope that helps!
I go to Simply Homemade in Naperville on Rt 59 & 111th. I think they are pretty reasonable and the food is delicious. Most meals come with a side dish which is really convenient.
The website is http://www.simply-homemade.com/home.html
Hope this helps!
Hi C., There is one in N Aurora ###-###-####. I saw it in Clipper magazine. If you call you mention their trio entrees for only 49.99. Take care A.
I've been to several of them and by far prefer Dinners Together. It's a nice setting and the women are very helpful there. They also design their own meals as opposed to some of the chains.
Not pushing but just an FYI...Homemade Gourmet does what is called a MAKE AND TAKE that you do in your home. You invite 5 or 6 friends over and they bring their own meat choices and a cooler and pay a small fee for the added ingredients (usually around $23-25). The hostess gets to pick the meals and how many she wants to make. A meal is prepared so you all can eat afterward and socialize. They're fun.
