Pins and Needles in Feet

For the past ten days or so, my 3 1/2 year old has been complaining of his feet tickling him. It sounds like pins and needles and it's symmetrical, and it usually happens while he is sitting in a chair. It's not from sitting on his knees or criss/cross or any other position. Now it has woken him in the night and kept him up for an hour. He screams that his feet are tickling him. It seems to happen at random times, while bare footed. I have made him a doctor appointment as even the advise nurse line was baffled! Has anyone experienced this? My son's feet do appear very flat and pronated (ankles inward) so I think it may have to do with this, possibly. Any ideas anyone?

What can I do next?

All little kids have flat feet.
Arches become more pronounced as the baby fat pads gradually go away.
I have flat feet as an adult and my feet don't tingle.
Growing pains are typically felt in the long bone areas, not usually in feet.
Tingling and pins and needles sounds more like a circulation problem.
I think numbness would be more of a nerve damage thing.
See what the doctor says.

He's not getting proper circulation to his feet. I would take him to the doc, to rule out a blood clot or something along those lines... but my 7 year old, a few years ago, complained of the same thing, and the doc chalked it up to growing pains... she grew out of it in about 10 days. Good luck!

It could be poor circulation, growing pains, or, as in my case a symptom of a bigger problem, I have fibromyalgia. It's good that he'll be seeing his doctor, but I hope and pray he simply grows out of it❤

i bet his feet are falling asleep..my son was calling it ..ants crawling on his feet..its weird b/c i've been recently having cramps and this too..and also a few people i know..maybe he needs more calcium magnesium..that's what i've been taking and stretching..also been sleeping w/ my feet elevated and w/ a foam mattress over the top of our bed..has helped..try more water..and maybe stop vitamins for awhile if he's taking them..i'm convinced one of vitamins may have had something to do w/ it..b/c i quit it and am feeling a lot better than i was..perhaps go see an orthopedic doc..that's my next plan..
