M., I recommend Arbonne Clear Advantage products. All Arbonne products are botanical without artificial dyes and fragrances. They contain no mineral oil or animal byproducts. The Clear Advantage line uses herbs, minerals, and botanicals that are anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial and also salasylic (sp?) acid which is more effective than benzoyl peroxide and much less drying than benzoyl peroxide.

You might need to detox. Acne is often an exterior symptom of what is going on inside since the skin is a detox organ. Arbonne has both internal and external detox products that are phenomenal.

And, it might be a hormone imbalance. Arbonne's progesterone cream makes a huge difference for some people. If you would like to know more about any of these, let me know. I'd be glad to help.

I personally use the progesterone cream and some of the detox products. Just by using Arbonne's other skincare products, my acne went away. (I use the anti-aging line) I did not need to use the Clear Advantage line. I just needed to use healthier skincare products, and the progesterone cream helps me in many ways. Good luck!

Arbonne.. lol two different ways. One if it is hormonal I know arbonne has a great natural progestrone cream which I am thinking every women needs. I have a great drs article on the cream but mostly how it helps menopause and Pms.
If it isn't just hormonal then they have a great acne line. It helped out my girlfriend and my brother. The products are botanically based and vegan certified.

Nothing worked for me except accutane. but after I finished the full treatment of the accutane, the acne came right back as strong as it was before. at this point I kind of became disgruntled with professional dermatology and quit going, but the alfalfa and the arbonne products are solutions I have never heard of before so I am going to give them a try, as I don't want to be on accutane forever (it's crazy expensive and you can't get pregnant while on it) so whatever you try, let us all know the results! good luck!

I tried everything and nothing worked. I even when to a dermatologist for two years and it worked at first but then acne came back. I tried Proactiv after I had my daughter in 2004 and my skin looked better within a few days! I have been using it ever since. I still get little breakouts every now and then but they clear up pretty fast.

Sometimes acne and other skin conditions are diet-related. What we eat affects how our bodies work, and can affect our hormone levels, etc.
If you want more info, coming from the food-science company that I work with, I'd be happy to share. I'm sure you can find some helpful information, as well, by looking online. Many of my clients have experienced clearer skin as a positive side-effect, though they werent' expecting it :0)
Best wishes

Hi M.-
I am an Arbonne representative and have had great results from clients that have used the Clear Advantage Line. This line is designed for acne prone skin and focuses on acne from a long term approach. It works on the bacteria inside and out with topical products and a supplement.
We also have a natural balancing cream that has helped many people who have acne. I would be more than happy to help you get this problem under control :-) ###-###-####. L.

The only thing I've found to work is to rotate products. I've used Proactiv, Acne Free, the Meijer brand of Acne Free, Clean and Clear foaming cleanser, and a gazillion other cleansers. Everything will work for a little while, and then lose its effectiveness. So, I rotate. I used Acne Free long enough to go through a Sam's Club sized container, then switched. I'm now using an antibacterial cleansing bar with a 10% benzoyl peroxide blemish treatment when I start to see a pimple forming. I have to be careful using it because my skin dries out really bad if I overdo any cleansers. I also exfoliate about once a week in the shower with an apricot scrub. Oh, and of course I moisturize every day.

This seems to be true for my sisters, too. I know they've had success in the past with some of the Mary Kay products, too. I think the important thing is that you have a cleanser and an acne treatment ingredient. I switch between salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide.

In college when my acne was the worst, I used Retin A. It worked really well, but it does have its precautions (you have to avoid excess sunlight, and you couldn't use it if you're pregnant - this may have changed since it's been nearly 15 years).

Good luck!

I think that ProActiv works the best...you can still get some breakouts but it REALLY helps. I love the repair mask...pimples will be gone in a day! Hope you find a solution.

I use Proactiv. It's not a cure-all, but it definitely helps!
