Not sure if they'll take it or not, but you could always try the shelters??? Call 211 (United Way for Help) and ask them. They will probably give you a bunch of other phone numbers to call, but it's a good place to start.
I have a piano I need to get rid of. I tried Craig's List, but no takers....does anyone know how I could donate it? I would think there would be a school or rehab center or something that could use it.....

On Minnehaha there is a place called keys for kids. You might be able to try there.
What kind of piano? I'd try finding folks that teach piano from their homes, and see if they can match students to your piano. They'd know if anyone of them would need one. You could also see if the various schools of music in the area will post an ad for you on their bulletin boards, or newsletters, or via word mouth.
Check with area schools(private since public schools probably don't need them) or churches also. They might be interested in a piano for their music programs, depending on its condition and how old.
I agree with trying Craigslist again. You can also try Freecycle- I'm amazed at the junk people with take from there, so a piano (not junk) should be a piece of cake!
B.- I would try Craig's List again. We just bought one off of there a couple of months ago and each time I tried for a free one, I would call and they were gone. The only oones that were still there were the up-rights that were in bad shape. What shape is it in? I can ask our piano teacher, because each time they start new students, they tell them they need to buy one. The only problem is if they are in bad shape, it cost more to fix them than to buy one. A key that sticks is not a big deal. It has to be tune each time it is moved, so that is not a big deal, but any other work is really $$$.
Or a church. Just call around.
