Hi, My husband has two herniated discs in his lower back. (thanks to all you moms who sent me advice/information)
He is going to try to get through until the end of the year to proceed with the injections he needs or surgery due to our high deductible. He won't be able to fit in the surgery this year, if the steroid injections don't work and we don't want to pay the deductible again in 3 months.

SO, he is going to try the physical therapy, but we really need an office that is open later in the evenings and even possibly on weekends. He can't take off early every week to do this. I am having the hardest time finding offices that are open later in the evenings. Any suggestions would help!
Thanks, K.

I've been to Allen Physical Therapy Center 2 times with injuries. I believe they have some later hours and Sat. I usually went in the am and they open around 7. They are located at McDermott and Alma SW corner in the shopping center. The number is ###-###-#### and the website is www.posmc.com

Good luck.

You might try Care Now in Allen at Alma and McDermott. I know they do PT there and have evening and weekend hours.

You can also try Peak Physical Therapy in McKinney (off of 380 and close to 75). The head therapist there is Jon Poe. I am a PT as well, but work in the Plano area. Best of luck!

There's a really good PT in McKinney, Jimmy Armentrout, and I think a 5:00 is the last appt he takes. Also James (can't remember his last name) at Allen Sports & Spine in the Raintree building does later appointments. I used to know of a really good PT at Allen PT but she has recently left and haven't heard any good things at all about her replacement. Some also do early morning appts too like at 7. No matter where you decide to go, I would make sure that his PT practices manual therapy. Specifically, that means they do little modalities like heat and ultrasound that studies have not found to be beneficial in the long run. Instead, they use manual techniques that will strengthen and stabilize specific sections of the spine that are weak. Sorry, I am a PT and have had bad experiences with PT's that provide mainly feel good remedies instead of manual therapy.

I like the Tree of Life office in Allen Texas. They have the best bedside manner, and they work with your schedule. :)C
