Hello my name is Melissa my I just recently found that my friends use a wonderful lady by the name of Dominique Nelson Photography.com she will come to your huse of you wish and she only charges I belive a 50 or 60 $ fee and of course you pay for you're actual pictures sepratley of what sizes and poses. My name is J. and I live in Forest Lake. I just had my first child (Sophia) in April of this year. I haven't tried the service yet....but Babies R Us just opened photography studios in their stores. I believe the closest ones to you would be Roseville or Woodbury. It looks like they have really fun background etc. I'm thinking of trying them for my next pictures. They are also running specials right now because they are new. Free 8x10's etc. There are no sitting fees and appointments aren't necessary. They do their pictures on digital film so you get the pictures right away. Again...I haven't tried them yet, but it looks appealing. I did my shower registry through Babies r us and they had very good customer service so hopefully this would carry through to their photography studio also.
Good luck! I hope you find a place you are happy with. If you do us Babies r us and have a good experience I'd love to know about it. Oh...and a friend of mine always does her kids and family pictures with a white background (brings out the clothes you choose) and they usually wear fun stuff like jeans and have the kids barefoot. Everyone sitting on the floor so you can see most of the body etc. It is so adorable and unique. Just a thought for an idea you could use if that is your style.

I have heard that Target is real good at photography. They have a variety of backgrounds and you choose the format (sepia, black & white, color, ect.) They are very resonably priced and you can usually find coupons in the sunday paper for a free 8x10. That way, you can check out their services for a very low low cost.

My mom and myself do photography on the side. Both of us use to workfor proex. We have done weddings and we do have a price list if you would be interested. I don't care for those traditional shots either. Fun and excitement should be shown in pictures, especially with a young family. We can do outdoor pictures we can do indoor pictures it is all up to you, we can do alittle of both. However, we do not do the enlargements. We give you all your pictures even if some don't turn out and you get your negatives. This way you are free to do with them as you want and get pictures when you want,you are on your time with that not ours. If you are interested pleaselet me know and I will get you more information. We can do both digital and regular film.
