I have recently become intersted and taking Photography classes does any one know where i can take one? justa beginners course
I am a jewelry designer and I take classes at The Art School in Highland Park. Our fall session just started this week and I don't know what they are offering now, but I do know they offer different photography classes and sometimes one day workshops. If you google it, you will find their website. They also list their class brochure online.

im looking for the same thing.....all i found so far is harrington college but thats lke a 2yr school...but i just want a class here and there too...maybe we can find someone that would do personal classes....maybe someone with more experience then us....

I don't know where you live, but the Evanston Arts Center offers good photography classes. Some of the community colleges offer photography classes as part of their "extension" programs.
You should check into the Chicago Photography Center in Chicago. I believe it is on N. Lincoln Avenue. I took 2 levels of film classes there that provided an excellent interactive experience. The community that they have developed is the best thing and the classes seem to be reasonably price for what you get. The also offer digital courses as well. The intro classes take the approach that you know almost nothing about photography so, if you are a true beginner, this is perfect for you.
Maybe try a community college?
