My sister to her baby Sadie (dog) to Petsmart in Southlake on Sat. Feb 14th to be groomed. They said she jumped off the table and ran out the door and now she is still missing. Sadie is a wonderful german shepherd and very sweet. My sister is lost without her.

What can I do next?

I'm sorry to here about your sister's dog. I don't have any advice, I just wanted to share my Petsmart horror story. I had a problem with Petsmart in Lewisville a few years ago. I took my bichon for grooming and when I went to pick her up, they tried to give me the wrong dog! It was another bichon, but had it not been for my Sofie's recent illness, I probably never would have known. She had been on an IV the week before so she still had the bald spot on her leg where they had to shave her down to the skin to insert the IV. The dog they tried to give me didn't have the shaved area so when I told them it was not my dog they looked at me like I was crazy. Then I explained how I knew and they quickly tried to figure out what happend. Lucky for me my Sofie was still there and they hadn't given her to someone else yet. I didn't even get so much as an apology. I will NEVER use them again.

ohmygoodness!!! No way!!! We've used them for their pet hotel when we had our babies and didn't have problems. That story sounds a bit off the wall. If you think about it, wouldn't the dog have had to run through the grooming door AND through the store door? Hmmm sounds very very fishy to me

Umm, you are getting a second no way!! First of all, they are supposed to have the dogs leashed at all times. I have seen them on the grooming table, and the dogs all had a collar and leash, which was attached to the grooming stand. Listen, I am not even a big dog person, but that girl needs to fight this fight..big time!! They really owe her, not that any sort of compensation can replace her dog, but it should not be left unsettled. They need to be forced to be accountable for this terrible mistake! And, I agree, there are at least 2 doors the dog would have had to bolt through! Uhh..I am furious for her!! I hope she gets some resolution!! ~A.~

I hate to even ask because I don't want to give you any false hope, but we found a dog today. Do you think it's possible that your sister's dog could have made it to Bedford? I know it's been over a month, too. If your sister's dog is still lost, what color is she?

Let me add to what the others have said that I totally agree with....I would go so far as to tell them to show me the store surveillance tape of my dog running out!
