Totally normal. I agree with those that said you'll have to work at it and try out things to make it happen. Use some hands, toys, change positions, whatever works...and do it in conjunction with sex so that they can happen together. You can't be shy, that's for sure! Explain to your BF that you would like this to happen and need him to be on board! Foreplay can also help work wonders in this department...if you're already excited then it's faster and easier once you get to intercourse.

It took me a long time to start having orgasms through regular sex, and most of mine are still from oral or hands. Thank goodness my husband likes oral.

Bust out a vibrator or one of those little vibrating rings, then you can have one during intercourse even if it is not technically "through" intercourse :)

I have read that this is normal. If you want to learn how to have one, try going to a sex therapist. You will need to take your partner with you and he will need to want to be there and want to work with you on this.

You'll have to practice a lot (LOL!) Have fun!
