Hi Mamas,
I read a review from a reporter about the penny auction site Bidrack. I have never used anything like this but it sounded great. I looked at their website and I don't see any of the items she mentioned. She said she got a TV and other electronics for less than $50. When I looked, I only found cheapo dollar store type items. Have any of you ever used one of these sites? Am I looking in the wrong spot? She piqued my interest but I'm not seeing it at all. I know she might work for them or whatever, so I'm curious. Thanks for your experiences.

I have never heard of it, so I just googled it. Every link that came up said it was a scam.

I heard they are scams. If it sounds to good to be true it probably is! Like those work at home ones, if those were true wouldnt we all be working at home for 10hrs a week making thousands every day!

I recommend www.propertyroom.com. Their items start at $1. It could be police or public items for auction.

The one's I've heard about you have to pay for every bid you make-- even if it is "just a penny" you can quickly click away to find you have spent $10 or more on nothing because someone else wins the bid.

Other situations like that, but my computer time is up... Don't do it!!

I have not used these, but definitely have concerns about them. My son was looking for a used IMac laptop on Craig's List and there were several listed. Of course they were always already sold, but the person "nicely" shared the secret of where she got them and how little she paid on the auctions. A few days later, a man sent the exact same response. Seems like they are just doing this to drive traffic to the auction site. My understanding is you pay per bid, so these sites are making money on the bidding process and the sale price of the item. You can spend lots of money bidding and never getting anything, plus the bidding site pulls you into the bidding war mentality. Definitely read over everything carefully before you do anything. Remember the old saying - "if it sounds too good to be true...." Good luck.
