Hi there,
Today I have been feeling lots of pelvic pressure. It's really uncomfortable. This is my second baby and I'm at 23 weeks. The pressure feels about the equivalent of me being 38 weeks pregnant with my first when he dropped. I've had to waddle all day long because it hurts. Does anyone know what this is and if it's normal? Also any tips on how to relieve it?
Thanks!

What can I do next?

Call your doc but I waddled with my 3rd from about 20 wks on. Co-workers noticed my waddle before I had even told them I was prego. My 1st two , I never had that problem, even at the end. My 3rd just wedged himself in my pelvis. 2 years later, my hips are still paying the price. Hope you find some comfort soon. Maybe a chiropractor could help, if your into that.

I would really want to get checked if I were you. If the doctor can't "feel" what's going on, I would want an ultrasound. Please stay off your feet tonight and tomorrow, and go into the office Monday morning. If something starts up that scares you, go to the hospital.

Check with your doctor but with each of mine it was different however with each one more pressure earlier. I would think with your second one though it would not be that bad so early but it could be the way the baby is positioned, how long you've been on your feet, etc. I would check with the doctor just for peace of mind.

That's exactly how I felt a few weeks before developing placenta previa, so it's best to stay off your feet now before it does become a problem. I would definitely make a trip to the dr. Worries aside, I started bleeding at 20 weeks and thought it was the end, and here I am with two healthy almost 5-year old twins! Whatever your OB tells you to do, do it. More important than risking that precious one in your tummy!

I would definitely get it checked out with your OB, but with both of my pregnancies I felt that 'pressure' down there. I would hold my 'woowoo' when I walked sometimes because I thought they were going to just come out at any minute. It would happen especially after I'd been on my feet towards the end of the day. I didn't feel it all the time either...so just get checked to be on the safe side:) Good luck!!!

I don't really think there is a normal. If I remember there were times when those buggers contorted into some strange positions with some strange effects to my body.

I know that doesn't really answer your question but if you are really concerned call your doctor.
