Pediatricians in the Minneapolis Area?

I’ve been told it’s about time for us to start looking into Pediatricians. Does anyone have any recommendations for the Golden Valley/St. Louis Park/Minneapolis area? We definitely want someone we can trust and who can be open with us. I like to know EVERYTHING, I’m a research maniac so I really appreciate when a doctor shares more than not enough. We’d also like to have someone long-term and who the baby can ‘grow with’.

I don’t know if this is even the right idea but I’ve been seeing my midwife nurse since the beginning of my pregnancy and have built a lot of trust in her and feel very comfortable. I’m this way with my dentist too, it helps me feel more relaxed since I’m really not a fan of the dentist. I feel that it would beneficial for my child to have a doc and an office ‘child-friendly’ so doctor visits are not so scary.

Another plus would be decent office hours and/or flexibility. I’ll need to be sure the Ped is covered by our insurance also, most are in the Twin Cities area, so hopefully I have a few referrals who are.  Thank you for all your help ladies!!

Fairview Uptown Clinic is awesome. My whole family goes there -- it's a family practice clinic. There is one doctor to avoid like the plague, but everyone else is terrific. I highly recommend Dr. Johnson, Dr. Pleasants, and Dr. Ndiajunwoha. (Message me privately and I'll tell you the one to avoid.)

My boys are well known by the doctors and nurses, and always feel comfortable going to the doctor. It's a great place, and very welcoming.

Hi Steph--
We use partners in Pediatrics-- love them . Our personal Doc is Greg Savitt but we know him professionally. He's down to earth with us at least.

There are several locations. Main office ###-###-#### from our magnet.

Check them out.

We go to Park Nicollet in St. Louis Park (the big campus off Excelsior). We see Kristen Radtke. LOVE her. She's really down to Earth, really seems to care, open to your feelings/opinions about interventions/vaccinations, and great with the kiddos! Good luck!

We have been with Partner's in Peds since my daughter was born. They came to the hospital to check her. The dr we started with moved to the Elk River office, which is out of our way, but we stayed with the group because they are all very nice. They have offices in Uptown, Maple Grove, Brooklyn Park, Plymouth (off 55 and 169) plus they have urgent care hours at Maple Grove and now Brooklyn Park. They have a website too. www.pipstop.com.
I hope this helps! Good luck!!!

We go to Wayzata Childrens clinic which is not far from Ridgedale Mall in Minnetonka and absolutely love it! My son has never been seen by a doctor I didn't feel comfortable with...they all are great. They also keep open clinic hours which from what I hear from friends is longer than other peds. I know it is not exactly where you were looking but it's not too far.
