I am looking for a GOOD pediatrican:) I have three kids and need a new one. We are currently at Gateway Pediatrics and they CAN NEVER get us in that day when my kids are sick! I am frustreated so I am looking for one where when my kid is sick can actually see them! I am a FT student and have a very busy schedule. Today I am home with 2 sick girls and my office can't even fit them in! I expect this occasionally but this is EVERY TIME they are sick.
So any recommendation are appreciated!
I don't know where you are at by we LOVE Step by Step Pediatrics. It's in Ahwatukee/Chandler. I live in SE Chandler and we make the drive because we love them so much!
Hi A.. My pediatrician is great. Her name is Dr. Allred and they have a Gilbert and Chandler office. The practice is Desert Shores Pediatrics. They always get you in the same day and the Chandler office is open on Saturdays. Dr. Allred is great and is very detailed about her exams and at explaining illnesses and/or options.

My child goes to Mesa Peds....we go to the San Tan office, but have also been to the Tempe office. They also have a Gilbert office and Chandler office. Their web page is www.mesapeds.com . We have always gotten in the same day with the rare exception of Saturdays during flu season which you have to call right away at 7:45 when they open or all the slots fill up since only one office is open on Sat. and patients from all 4 offices use it. I can even call at 11:00 during a normal day and they still have afternoon slots available. Recently my child had a fever of 103.5 which was only comming down to 101 and I scheduled an appointment for that afternoon with the front desk, but they offered to have the triage nurse call to see if I really needed to come in and after talking to her she said that as long as the fever comes down you do not have to come in. The great thing is everything is computerized so when you go to any of the offices the childs history is available. They also send perscriptions right from the computer to the pharmacy, so you don't have to deal with getting the written paper and then waiting at the pharmacy. It is already ready when you arrive.
Lastly we had a reason to take our child to Phoenix Children's Hospital Urgent Care when she was 4 months old and the medical records were sent to Mesa Peds so her primary doctor and Phoenix Children's hospital both called the next day to make sure that things were getting better and I didn't have any other questions.
We love, love, love Desert Shores Pediatrics. They always work us in, office staff are really nice, and all of the doctors are really great. Our favorites are Drs. Yin and Mohler. Good luck to you!
We also use Mesa Peds and absolutely love it. If you can't get in at your frist choice, which is rare, there are several other locations to choose from.
We love our pediatrician, Dr. David Ciminelle, at PUeblo Pediatrics. They have an office in Gilbert and Mesa. The other doctors at the office are also great. I have two boys and anytime I need to get into the office, they always get us in and we never wait long once we are at the office. They also have a nurse triage line that has saved me from taking my boys to the office on numerous occasions. The nurses get back to you pretty quickly and help you determine whether or not you need to come in to have a doctor look at your kid. I highly recommend this practice. I don't know where you are located, but we live in Ahwatukee and trek to Camelback and 44th to see Camelback Pediatrics. They are absolutely wonderful. Separate sick/well areas, same day appt., same day callback, you name it. We've been there for 10 years with no failure, no waits. Each partner is fabulous and I trust each one, in case my main one is out. They also have Saturday appts. for sick children.

Only one time (in over 3 years) have I not been able to get in on the day of. So, the nurse called me and we chatted for a good 15-20 minutes. I KNOW that if there would have been something very wrong I could have gotten in, or of course if it was an emergency I wouldn't just go to the regular dr anyhow. I love all the PA too..except Beth. I always just ask to see someone else and it's not a problem.

We've been really happy with Dr. Chang at Palo Verde Pediatrics at Val Vista and Elliot in Gilbert. He has called us personally when we've had health issues come up during the weekend, had bilirubin lights sent directly to our house in the late night when our first son had jaundice, the same with a breathing treatment when he had his first asthma attack. The policy at the office is that if a child is sick, the child is seen that day. They have sick child office hours on weekends.
We go to TLC Pediatrics on 40th Street & Pecos in Ahwatukee and LOVE it there! We have seen Dr. Ramirez and Dr. Nania and loved them both. We are always able to get same day appointments. Plus, the staff and the docs are all EXCELLENT!
