Pediatrician Recommendation That Takes United Healthcare

My husband and I are expecting our first baby on New Year's Day. At my last Doctor's appointment I was informed that I need to choose a pediatrician soon so that I can pre-register with Northwestern for delivery. The two pediatrician recommendations he gave me do not accept United Healthcare. Can anyone refer a Doctor they truly like that accepts United Healthcare? I live in the Bucktown/Wicker Park area...so something convenient would be nice, but is not completely necessary. I'm will to travel to see the right Doctor. Thanks for your time!

Try Child and Adolescent Health Partners. Dr. Wilson - They are on Clark in the Gold Coast. I think they might be covered. I love Dr. Wilson. Email me with any questions: ____@____.com

We have United Healthcare Options PPO and take our kids to Lakeview Pediatrics on Belmont, just east of Ashland. We have been really happy there. We have seen several doctors there (Drs. Salem, Chang & Newport) and we have never had a bad experience with any. Good luck!

I have United Healthcare and delivered at Northwestern in April 2006. My son's PCP is Bennett Kaye with Children's HealthCare Associates (CHA). They are located at 2835 North Sheffield. ###-###-####. Free parking with validation. There are 7 docs in the group - 3 men and 4 women. I have seen several of the docs there and have been very pleased. I had a C-section and was in the hospital for 3 days. A different doc from his office came to the hospital each day. Again all were good. Hope this helps.

I also have United Healthcare. Our pediatrician is Dr. Shashi Kumar. She is with Northshore Pediatrics. They are located at 6300 N. Lincoln Ave. She is a really great doctor with a warm bedside manner, which is important for new moms like us that have a ton of questions everytime we go to the doctor.

Hope this helps.

We also use Dr. Salem, Newport, Chang, etc at Belmont and really like them so far. We had a baby girl just over a month ago, and have enjoyed their dedication to our daughter and attentive advice for new parents.

We have uhc epo and we go to Children's healthcare Associates on Sheffield and Diversey. The come highly recommended and are on the Northwestern prefered ped. list. Phone is ###-###-####. Dr. Rosenberg is the only wellness dr. that accepts uhc so he will have to be your primary but everyone takes sick babies.
