Pediatrician Recommendation - Bradenton,FL

The best pediatrician around is Dr Howard Fuchs in Sarasota. Along with pediatrics he also specilaizes in allergy and immunology - he sees adults too. He is on Bee ridhe jst past Mcintosh. His number is ###-###-####. On weekends he does a rotation with Dr Featherman & Dr. Patrusky

I am not sure if you have already chosen a Pediatrician or not but Dr. Featherman and Dr. Minella with Comprehensive Childcare Assoc. in Sarasota are wonderful. I have all three of my children as patients there and have since my oldest was born. She is now 6 years old. I have only seen these two out of the group and would only see these two out of the group since they are part of the orginal practice. Their office is located off of Cattlemen and # is ###-###-####. FYI -
I live in Ruskin and I am more than willing to drive there for my children because of the great care and advice.

Dr. Sevilla is wonderful and very knowledgeable. He offers extended appointment times so he can spend quality time with you. He is also available to you via e-mail and in addition to that on Mondays he is open until 8 for working parents. Here is his website: http://www.wholechildpediatrics.com/

I disagree about Dr. Fuchs. I had a very uneasy feeling when he did a check up on my daughter. Mother's intuition? I do love Dr. Featherman though & everyone in his office- they're great!

Dr Gross, Is AWESOME! She is very caring, Remembers names, Loves children.......I miss her, we moved north, and it is too far to drive......Miss her terribly......
She has left private practice though, and is now in the health department for kids off of 17th street in sarasota, and doesnt accept private ins.........Just medicaid, and the like!
If you have Mediciad or the like I HIGHLY reccomend her!
She isnt number one for nothing!

Hi Mary. I have been with Dr. Gerardo Lopez and Dr. Jeffrey White since my son was born 10 1/2 years ago. They are great. They are also located off of SR 64. My daughter has had severe migraines since she was 5, she is now 18, and Dr. Lopez was the best. They take time with their parents and are more than willing to explain anything you don't understand. I highly recommend them, and by the way, I am the daughter of a doctor, so I am very picky.

I haven't heard of either pediatrician, but I wanted to recommend mine. Dr. Alfredo Giangreco is a fantastic doctor and really cares about his patients. My 2 1/2 year old isn't afraid of him and my 1 month old is just putty in his hands. He spends as much time with you as you need and genuinely loves what he does. If he is on your insurance plan, I do highly recommend him!

My daughter started Giangreco, Scarano, and Taylor's office when she was 8 months, and we have been VERY happy there. My daughter personally sees dr Taylor, who I prefer. She has seen all of them, but I like Taylor the best. I think someone else mentioned their office as well, who sees dr freddy giangreco, who is also great. Definately worth maybe a least a look. They are on 26thStW between 53rd ave and cortez. My brother takes my niece to Dr White. I believe he's east. I don't know if they always accept new patients or not but they also come VERY highly rated.

As for OB/gyn. I saw that someone mentioned WEstCoast OB/Gyn with Matta and LeMay. I saw them and was very happy with them. I would definately see them again if I get preg again.

My kids (ages 3 and 6) were patients of Dr Gross before she left private practice and she was awesome! They are both now patients of Dr Miguel Alvarez who we absolutely love also, very kind and caring like Dr Gross was and have no problem getting in for an apt if they are sick or need to have a routine physical.

Dr. Jeffrey White is a great doctor! He really puts kids at ease. My 4 year old loves going to the dr. and thinks of him as a friend.He is very good about keeping a close eye on them when sick. For example, calling me to check on his progress often when he had a bad stomach bug, and not seeming to mind at all when I paged him after hours. His partner Dr.Lopez is also great!

I'm also a big fan of Dr. Fuchs & Dr. Featherman

I think that Dr.s are such a personal decision but I can tell you from my experience that if they are talking about Dr. Johnny Alvarez I would not recommend him to anyone!!! When my daughter was 8 I thought she was starting to "develop" and when I asked him he pulled up her shirt pinched her stomach and said "she is just getting fat!" meanwhile she was thinner than three quarters of the girls in her class and about 3 inches taller!!! For a week she kept drawing pics of herself and calling herself the fat girl!!! Her view of herself has not been the same since!!! If he thought she needed to loose weight there is a way of saying it!!!!
I ABSOLUTELY love Dr. Frias on SR 70 in Bradenton. He is AMAZING. I have a 9 month old son also and he is great with both my children. I was recommened to him when I was pregnant so we interviewed him and it was one of the best things we did and my daughter doesn't mind going to the Dr. anymore!!!! I have recommended him to other people who love him also!!!

ps- If nobody recommended Westcoast OB/GYN Dr.'s Matta and LeMay they delivered my 9 month old and I really liked them.

Hello,I am a mother of a 5 yr.old boy and we had started going to Dr.Alveraz before he started his pre-k yr.I had no problems until he got really sick with everything imaginable.Of course as a mother you immediately want to get him into his doctor.My husband and I called the office and asked the nurse if we could please get in,it was urgent.She told me in 4 hrs.I said thats too long.Could you please sqeeze us in.She said no we cant.I said what do i do until then to keep him hydrated.She said the only thing you can do.Keep giving him sips of liquid every so often.We were very upset and we knew that going to the ER would probably take even longer.I said forget it I will try someone else or the walk in clinic.So finally the Urgent Care on Manatee said bring him in,there is hardly a wait.Thank goodness they got him in and took care of him fast.We looked around and asked who really is the best in Bradenton and 9 out of 10 parents I would say said Dr.Giangrecos.There is a couple doctors in the office to choose from,but they both are great.Again as a parent you want whats best for your child.When I barely got a response from her or the information I needed,I was shocked.That is just our personal experience.
