Does anyone know of any highly recommended pediatricians in the city? I need to start meeting with some but have no idea where to start.

What can I do next?

If you have easy access to Robinson Township or Mt. Lebanon you might try Pediatric South. I take my kids to see Dr. Ascherman. She is very caring and didn't waste any time making an appt for my son te see a specialist when his blood work came back abnormal. We go to the Mt. Lebanon office and the staff is very nice.

I goto Pediatric South Mt Lebanon. I see Dr Tyson---I love that doctor. He totally takes time to hear my concerns and worries. He was so helpful when my son was 2 (he's now 4) we saw developemental delay and helping seeking help. Since then my son was dx'ed with PDD-NOS (autism spectum disorder) and Dr Tyson has be MY GOD SEND w/ getting me help for my son.

He is my personal pick hands down.

I second the Pediatric South. We go to the Robinson Township office and I love all the doctors there. My children usually see Dr. Range or Dr. Breslin, but I have met and like all the doctors in the practice. When My daughter was first born we did take her to teh Pediatricians at Mercy Hospital. It was on the 3rd fl of the medical building across the street, we had to change becuase our insurrance stopped taking those doctors.

I have been taking my girls to Childrens Community Pediatrics east (Monroeville) since 2000. All the doctors are great, the hours are very good (they even have evening hours) and the nurses are wonderful.

We go to Dr. Silberman in White Oak. He's old school, but that's what I love about him!!!

We use Dr's Scott and Morganti on Rt 228 in Mars. They are great and they are very supportive of breastfeeding mothers. I am not familiar with any peds in the city, but perhaps your OB can recommend one. I highly recommend interviewing them before you have your baby so that you can make sure their views correspond with your own.

Not exactly in the city, but I'm a long-time fan of Allegheny Pediatrics out in O'Hara Township. Kim Gordon took care of both my daughters up until the last one turned 18 this year.
