Pediatric GI Dr. Referral

I'm looking for a new GI doctor--any suggestions? We would love one that specializes in pediatrics and possible feeding/growth issues. We found one at Children's, but that's out of network, so I'm hoping to find one at MO Baptist, St. Johns or St. Luke's. The most important thing would be for the Dr. to spend enough time with us, listen to our concerns and explain what we need to be doing.

What can I do next?

Dr. Utterson at St. Lukes is wonderful! She is great with kids, always answered all our questions, and was good about taking the most non-invasive approach first.

We go to Dr. Thomas Foy at Cardinal Glennon. We have been going to him for 6 years with both of my girls and LOVE him. The girls love him too. He will take his time and really listen. He has office hours at St. Anthonys too. Good luck!

I went to a pediatric GI practice at St. Luke's about a year ago. I don't know what they specialize in specifically. It was Dr. Utterson and another Dr. (can't remember his name.) The phone number is ###-###-####. Good luck. My pediatrician recommended them.

We saw Dr. Foy at Cardinal Glennon...he had been referred to us by my brother and sister in law. We loved him. He was so nice and low key, and although my daughter's issues ended up being allergy related, he was more of a help with that than the allergists we saw (although ultimately we had to figure it all our ourselves). It was hard to get in to see him in less than 3 months though, unless there's a cancellation. They do see patients in South County at St. Anthony's as well...and maybe it's changed since then too...haven't seen him in about a year and a half. Good luck.
