My son has only been seen by my dentist during our visits so far. At our visit last Monday, they recommended that he start seeing a pediatric dentist. They referred us to Dr. King in Oviedo. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions of Dr. King to share? Or other pediatric dentists they would recommend in the Oviedo/UCF area. Thanks in advance.

My son sees Dr. King. Very friendly, understanding & does not rush you in and out. I think he is great & I am very particualr because my son has special needs. I think you will like him.

I took my preschool aged kids to Bishop and Bertot in Maitland/Winter Park a couple of times. Very expensive and not covered by insurance. My own hygenist said the people who clean the kids teeth there are assistants and not hygenists-- not sure of the difference, but why was I paying so much out of pocket for kid size chairs and a fish tank in the lobby when my own hygenist was good with kids and had more dental training?? So they have been going to my dentist ever since. If your own dentist is recommending a pediatric one, I wonder why??

Hi S.,
My son has been going to Dr. King since he got his first teeth. I love Dr. King!!! The hygenist are wonderful. The office staff could be a little bit more friendly in my opinon, but you will love Dr. King. Also, I read some of the earlier posts about insurance. They took my insurance, but I am sure that they do not take every type of insurance. Hope that helps.

i think dr king is a very good dentist. but i feel tha same way as the other lady said... he is very expensive, unless you have specific needs the regular dentist cant offer. the office is totally set up for kids. its a great office. everyone really nice and kid friendly.

Dr. King is very nice, and his office is set up with smaller chairs and balloons, etc. Very cute. But unless your child has specific issues, a regular dentist should do fine. Dr. King is very expensive and does not take insurance. After two visits there, I realized it is not worth the money, so we are at a regular dentist for our kids. Good luck!

I've never been to Dr.King but my daughter will see him the 25th for her 1st time. Her pediatrician spoke very highly of Dr.King and a family friend who is an oral surgeon recommended him as well. I know that I have been searching a ped. dentist for my daughter for 6mo that would allow me to come back into the room and stay with my daughter and Dr.King is the only one I found from titusville to tampa. That was the deciding factor for us since my daughter is only 3. Good Luck!
