Christine,
I have not used that dentist, but am very happy with the pediatric dentist that I use. He is in Highland Village and his name is Dr. Clapp.

Has anyone taken their child to Dr. Anil Reddy DDS in Flower Mound? Thanks!

Hi Christine,
I took my son to Dr. Reddy when he was 18 months old. He checked my son's teeth and brushed (I don't believe they flossed, but it was over a year ago and I don't remember exactly). I sat on the chair and my son sat on my lap and laid his head back on a pillow. It was not a pleasant experience at all - not that I expect the dental visits to be one big game - but I think more could have been done to make it more child-friendly.
I'm actually getting ready to make my son's next appointment and we are going to go to a pediatric dentist. I have heard very good things about Dr. Debra Duffy and Dental Care 4 Kids (both are in the Flower Mound area) so we are probably going to see one of them. Neither participate in insurance, but from what I understand, they should precertify your benefits so you know what if anything you have to pay out of pocket.
Good luck!

We did, and he was very good w/ my young ones. He moved farther away from us though, so I switched my girls to my dentist. Amazingly, I'm just as pleased. Maybe because they (non-pediatric dentists) don't get kids all the time, they enjoy it even more and really took the time to make them comfortable.
I took my son their once and he seemed to be okay. The office, though, is not very pleasant. It is crowded and the exam rooms are right next to one another separated by a partial wall. When my son was getting his teeth cleaned I could see and hear everything that was going on with the patients next door. It seemed like everyone was in everyone elses business.
The staff seemed to work well with the kids. Dr. Reddy took time to explain my son's teeth to me and briefly looked at my younger son's teeth (he was about one at the time and my other son was about three).
Anyways, we opted not to go there again because I just did not feel right there. We now go to Flower Mound Dental off 407 (behind chick fil-a) and so far so good. The staff is sweet and they do as much as they can with the kids given their comfort level.
I do not kno how old your kids are but I found a Dora book called Dora Goes to the Dentist. I brought this along to both facilities and each place went "along" with the book and used the same terms as the Dora book. It seemed to make the kids a bit more comfortable.
Good luck.
We use Dr. Duffy and we love her!! I have never heard a bad thing about her, though she does not participate in our insurance network, I still take my son anyway since her staff is wonderful and he loves to go there. Plus her office rocks, there is a "movie theatre" and playground slide in the waiting room.
I have also heard good things about Dr. Clapp.
I asked other moms when looking for a dentist for DS and also my own hygenist at my dental office and they all talked positively about Dr. Duffy and Dr. Clapp.
We took my son to him twice, and the second experience was awful. My husband was actually the most traumatized by the experience. We switched to Dr. Duffy, and love her office!
