I'm adding my 4 yr old to the dental plan and I need a recommendation for a pediatric dentist (one that might be on my Cigna DMO) I'm looking in Plano, Allen or Mckinney preferably. Thanks!
I just went on Cigna and tried to find Dr Sharon Hill or Dr Tipton Asher... NO LUCK... (I hate Cigna) Anyways..... The ONLY pediatric dentist on my list (that is closer than 20 miles) is Dr Allen Pearson in Wylie. Has anyone out there taken their children to Dr Allen Pearson in Wylie??? Please let me know!
Dr. Tipton Asher in Plano, no doubt about it! I'm pretty sure he takes Cigna...I think that's what our previous insurance was. If not, he is super reasonably priced.
I agree with Dr. Tipton Asher. He's absolutely wonderful. I'm a hygienist and have worked in his office a few times to help out. The entire office is very professional and well managed. Dr. Asher is very experienced and I would not choose anywhere else to take my child (I have temped in several pedo offices in the Plano/Allen area).
We also have Cigna (it may be PPO though). My 4 year old son has some enamel problems and one tooth had a pretty deep cavity requiring a pulpotemy (mini root canal). We went to Dr. Sharon Hill at Kids' Smile Center in Plano. My son did not cry once throughout the whole procedure. I was very impressed with her. They're off the Dallas Tollway and Parker.
Even if the dentist in not in Cigna, Cigna should cover some of the expenses so check with them.
