I took my 2 year old to his first dentist appt. yesterday and was not very happy with the demeanor of the doctor or how she treated my son. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good pediatric dentist in the Colorado Springs area. Thanks for your help.

I have not heard great things about alot of the ped dentist, I take my 2 children to Dr. Burton on Union. He is wonderful with Children. My children love going to the dentist. They even do a so called happy check where the child comes in and gets to look at all the tools and sits in the chair. They say lets count your teeth and make that into a game. It is really up to the child with how much they do. If need be you as a parent are able to lay in the chair with them to make your child feel better. They also get to go to treasure box. Would recommend them 10+.

Dr Sean Vostatek is who has seen my 2 & 4 yr old sons. I highly recommend he and his assisting staff. It is a fairly new practice as he is new in town. At first I witnessed a few problems with his office staff but it seems they were resolved quickly. I was a bit put off initially, but glad we stuck it out in the beginning. Dr. Sean was very thorough, kind and gentle through the weeks treating my oldest. I really like that he speaks to and explains to the child what he is doing and is encouraging to them every step of the way during the procedures. He balances this well with also talking to and informing the parent. He gave my child a gift card for being extra good as well as many prizes from the treasure box. With all the goodies and a new toothbrush in tow my kids felt that it was a "fun" visit to the dentist and have no fears of returning. So glad we did not experience any of the horror stories I have heard from friends. Resonable rates if you are without insurance. Good luck.

I highly recommend Dr. Josh Erickson (Erickson Pediatric Dentistry). I took my daughter there for the first time after a serious fall in which she injured her front tooth and lip. They were all so wonderful there. She had never been to a dentist before and did great. It was such a good experience thanks to Dr. Josh and his staff. Here's his web address:
