I'm guessing not too many people have the experience with this and can't provide 'real life situations and experiences'.
If you've been doing the research a lot- you should already know what it is.
I personally have no experience with it - but - I've had 7 yrs of braces (5th thru 11th grade) and 8 adult teeth pulled (this was before expanders were invented) - and I would not wish dentures on any child.
Kids need to run around and play - I can just see them losing this on the playground somewhere.
They hang upside down, swing, throw things in the sandbox - it's easier to fall out of their mouth than you'd think it would be.
Toddlers have choking issues - how easy would it be for the kid to choke on this if it came loose while they were eating/drinking?
It's got to be cleaned (brushed, Efferdent, Polident, etc) and kids don't need the hardware in the mouth for aesthetic purposes.
Besides - toothless grins are beautiful!
I'd really have to talk to several dentists - maybe get 3 opinions (different practices) - and they'd all have to have some pretty convincing medical reasons to be able to talk me into this.
Weigh your options carefully, but I'd skip this if I were you.
