Peanut Butter Kisses

I think that is what they are called....my family is requesting this Christmas cookie this year, and I've never made them. They are the round peanut butter cookies with a hershey's kiss in the middle. My question is-I'm finding recipes online for them, and some are more of a traditional peanut butter cookie, and some don't have any flour in the cookie (just peanut butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla). So, which is better? Do you have a favorite way to make them? Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone! I used the recipe from the Hershey's Kisses site, as recommended, and they are a hit!

I haven't read the others, but my recipe is:

1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg

Place all in a bowl, mix by hand until dough starts to pull away from the sides (2-3 minutes), scoop onto cookie sheet (i use a tablespoon to scoop), press with fork and bake for about 13 minutes at 350 degrees. When you take them out, pop a kiss in the middle. Takes me around 18 minutes total to make them!

I got a recipe for them straight from the Hershey's website, and they are super easy and really good. My uncle says they are the best he's ever had because you can really taste the peanut butter. A lot of recipes don't call for enough peanut butter. Here's the link...

My mom makes these every year. She makes a traditional peanut butter cookie, and my oldest child loves them.

I have a child with CD, however, so I have lots of experience with the flourless peanut butter cookies. A cup of peanut butter, a cup of sugar, and a stick of butter...that's the ratio. You can't overbake them or they get hard, but they are very good when done right. It takes a bit of experimenting.

Peanut Butter Blossoms I think they are called? As a kid we used the chocolate stars? But I would do the Hersheys site recipe too! I think that is the one in my book!

I just make traditional peanut butter cookies, roll them into balls & in sugar - don't do the fork thing. Bake at 350 them for 7-8 min and when they come out add the kisses. The kisses do take a few hours to cool, so they need to sit out for a while. Oh, I also sometimes use sugar cookie dough and make them too, but I roll the balls in sugar that I added food color to and mixed good in a sandwich bag... usually red & green for Christmas or other colors for other holidays. So I end up with 2 kinds of Blossoms.

The ones I make are just what you said... peanut butter, eggs sugar. I love them, but I don't make them often because I end up eating them all!

I also really like these because the kids can help roll them, and it's a fun recipe for them to help with.

If you haven't tried the flour-less version, you should! They're crazy-good. They just kinda melt in your mouth. They're obvisly richer, but wow, are they good! That's my suggestion!
