I had a restaurant bill me for a dinner in February and we hadn't been there in over a month. I called and the manager told me there was a system glitch and charges were never charged on that day. So corporate was re-running the charges. I went back and looked at the calendar and we were NOT even there on that day, and if we were, the charges would have been more.
If my husband works close to home (which was once a month or so) we would take our youngest out to lunch before taking him to school. Our bill is about $40 with tip and all when we do that. The date in question was a weekend - where the bill would be more like $60 for all 5 of us. So there is NO way.
My bank refunded the charge immediately and did an investigation which they found to be fraud.
So if you can see you didn't pay I guess that's an annoyance, but still, it's BAD business for the company to do that.
