Party Day and Bad Weather!

Please help quickly. Today is the day that we are having a birthday party for my children. It was supposed to be an outdoor pool/slip-n-slide party with water games. You figure August, hot month, sunny out, no brainer. Well today it is cloudy, currently 65 degrees outside and expecting a high of 70 degrees. WooHoo! I have about 17 children coming to my home in a few hours, It does not look like this will be a good swim day, it's chilly. I don't want this to turn into "tear my house apart party". I would like to keep it outside and come up with fun/easy games. Any and all ideas welcome.
TIA
Canceling the party is not an option.
My children are age 9 & 7, most of the guests will be around those ages.
Renting a bouncy is a good idea, we have done that in the past, however, not enough time to pull that together now.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well, I worried for nothing. I am so thankful for all of your quick ideas. I had a plan :) As it turns out, I did not need to come up with things. Some kids did swim, some jumped on the trampoline, some played baseball, soccer with a beach ball and a friend brought a Bingo game. All the activities were kid led and I just let them do their own thing. It did rain after all, and it was chilly. Definitely not one of our better parties, but I think everyone had a good time. I know my kids loved it so that is all that mattered.
Thanks again for all the help, it was nice to know I had games to pull out if I had needed them.

Look up the Minute to Win It stunts online and put together a couple of those for games. Most of the items you will need are things you probably have around the house anyhow. My little cousin did that for her birthday around that age and they had a blast with it.

I don't know the age of the kids so I don't know what to tell you. Mine are 10 & 12 - so they go to the pool at 70 degrees!!

Olympic themed - races, jumping, "archery" outdoor games...

hula-hoop contest
jump rope contest
bean bag tic-tac-toe
bean bag hop scotch

I'm with Cheryl O, let them swim anyway! My kids will swim in any weather, rain or shine. We do not have a pool and don't go swimming very often so it's a big treat for them to go swimming. The same might be true for some of the guests.

If you don't go that route pull out all your toys and art supplies... They will find a way to entertain themselves with very little nudging. I'm always amazed at how creative and imaginative kids are when you get a bunch of them together. I bet this is going to be a great party! Have fun and don't stress on it!!

I think 70 degrees should be fine for the pool. Kids are usually pretty active in the pool and don't need it to be as warm as adults like it. How about a scavenger hunt or a tug-of-war?

Kids will swim anyway, I would imagine the pool water is fairly warm.

I think that's perfect weather for an outdoor party! I live in Washington state, and here, I don't think children would give it a second thought. Just go for it, I bet you'll be surprised how many children partake in the water activities.
A lot of great ideas here.

Love the Olympics idea--kids get into that.

Or try to put together a scavenger hunt.

I live in WA state and the weather here is about 70-75 most of the summer. We ALL swim in that weather. They are kids! I say, break out the pool and let the kids swim.

I was also going to suggest bouncy house.

Or, you can just roll with the original plan. I don't think kids care as much about cold as adults do.

Why not just do both the bouncy house AND still keep the water play? That way everyone has a choice.
