i don't have a partial but used to work in a crown and bridge lab. it should be comfortable as long as the dentist fits you correctly. it is much better than having nothing at all! good luck!
Hello I was wondering if anyone has ever had a partial put in. I have really bad teeth and I need dentures but since I cant afford them right now a dentist I found suggested getting a partial until I can get the money. My front tooth is about to fall out and I am not willing to walk around without it. I have lost many of my teeth on top but the front one is what people see. I just wanted to know how comfortable is a partial and can I still eat with one in. I am so upset that I have to get this kind of work done and I am only 36 but I have been putting this off as long as I can. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Sorry not sure about partial but have you looked at baylor college of dentistry? It is a little time consuming to get in but once in you are in for life if you follow the rules. The prices is basically 1/2 of out side dentist. Ive just completed my work and i had tons done. Plus, i was able to get my kids in and they are 9, 7, & 3. The oldest will need braces in a few years and i will need the price break. Dont worry about beign in the hands of 'kids' students either. It will almost drive you crazy....there are so many people looking, checkign and double checking. Plus they have the newest top of the line equipment....some of it being tested before it is even available to outside dental offices. Crown.....$180. Tooth pulled .....$9. Some examples.
A partial is great if it is properly fitted. And this is something you insist on!
Try Baylor School of Denistry. My brother-in-law had a lot of work done there for a fraction of the cost.
