Paint Matching

We are in the process of moving and just found a couple spots where it appears that the kids have picked the paint off the walls!!!! We can't afford for this current complex to charge us to repaint the walls.... They are a pretty basic off white color. Can any one recommend the best place to have the paint matched for the cheapest price? We are very budgeted right now. Thanks

What can I do next?

You can always go to Lowes and get chips, take them home, compare to the wall, pick the closest and have them tint O. of the little $2.49 "sample" cans to the color you choose. That would be pretty cheap!

I've taken paint chips to Orhard supply hardware (not sure if you have them there) if not you could try sears. Their brand of paint is 1/2 the cost of lowes/home depot and they have always done a great job matching paints for us. If you get it home and it's not right you can take it back and they'll do it again. It doesn't sound like you need much paint so just get a small pint sized can. Make sure you know if its flat, satin, or semi-gloss to. mixing them on a wall will stand out like a sore thumb. Good luck.

Home depot or Lowe's. You can take a paint chip or piece of something with that color and they will mix it right there for you. It will be relatively inexpensive depending on how much you need, which sounds like very little.

Just like the previous poster said about Lowes or Home Depot, but I think that just falls under wear and tear and they would touch up anyway without charging extra. If it's rented through a management company they probably use the same paint for all their rentals. You may want to ask them or check into tenant laws.
